Alex Kotkas

Alex Kotkas is a partner and the Leader of the Litigation Group in the firm's Calgary office. He also serves on the management committee of the Calgary office.

Alex has been successful counsel on many trials and appeals, several of which are precedent setting decisions reported in national law reports. In addition to his extensive trial and appellate experience, he has conducted many mediations and arbitrations. Alex has litigation experience at all levels of court in Canada and appears as counsel before a variety of statutory boards and tribunals. He regularly handles high profile or media sensitive cases, and is often consulted by the media for public comment on current legal issues.

Alex provides practical advice and outstanding advocacy in high risk and high stakes litigation.
