CGI divests Canadian business processing unit to The Shumka Group

On August 6, 2008, CGI Group Inc. (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB) sold a Canadian business processing unit providing claims adjusting and risk management services to the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry. The business was sold to privately-held The Shumka Group.
CGI is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in the world.
