Fasken Martineau "a major player in international project finance work": Financial Post
Financial Post
May 14, 2008
Partner Tom Barlow, director of Fasken Martineau's public-private partnership (P3) group in Toronto refers to U.S. jurisdictions looking to Canada for law firms servicing infrastructure projects "...because we are more advanced than they are in this expertise."
The article notes that the Firm is "now a major player in international project finance work."
Partner, Brian Kelsall, also cites that "emerging market countries are looking at Canada's P3 model, as a blueprint for developing their own infrastructure. That model sees a blend of government and private sector sharing the risk involved in building power transmission systems in Macedonia or retrofitting ports in Argentina."
