The firm's recent list of successes includes:

• Acting as counsel for The Bank of Nova Scotia before the Supreme Court of Canada, which recently held that the plantiffs, were not entitled to recover funds debited from their accounts because the original source of the credits was a forged cheque.
• Counsel for the successful appellant, 269893 Alberta Ltd., in a case in which the BC Court of Appeal re-examined the issue of whether the interpretation of a contractual provision is a question of law or fact.
• Representing Gold Reserve before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, which issued an interlocutory injunction restraining Rusoro Mining Ltd. from proceeding with its hostile takeover bid for Gold Reserve Inc., a Spokane, Washington based public company, based on alleged conflicts of interest and breaches of confidentiality.
• Obtaining emergency injunctive relief on behalf of Maritime-Ontario Freight Lines Limited in a dispute with a subcontractor who refused to deliver freight until additional surcharges were paid.
• Obtaining a provisional injunction order as well as a safeguard order on behalf of Zimmer Dental and Zimmer Dental Corp., which ordered a former employee of Zimmer to cease working for a competitor in breach of non-competition, non-sollicitation and confidentiality obligations.
