Abayomi Akinjide presented with AIPN's 2009 Member of the Year Award

Abayomi (Yomi) Akinjide is a partner in Fasken Martineau LLP (London) and a member of the Corporate / Commercial and Energy practice group. He is also Regional Director for Europe and Africa of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). The association, which is composed of approximately 2,400 members from over 80 countries, is a non-profit organisation founded to enhance the professionalism of cross-border energy negotiators throughout the world.
At their recent Annual Board Meeting and conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, in front of over 150 international delegates from the oil and gas industry, Yomi was presented with the "Member of the Year 2008/2009" award for his services to the association. This award goes to the individual who, in the view of the selection committee, made a significant contribution in aiding the Association to fulfill its annual goals.
