Brad Freelan has a broad corporate/securities law practice with a primary focus on corporate finance and M&A transactions. In addition to his transactional work, Brad has advised a number of public companies on a day-to-day basis with respect to securities law matters and corporate governance compliance and best practices. Brad has also advised investment dealers with respect to securities regulatory compliance.
Brad's experience in corporate finance includes advising issuers and underwriters in connection with both public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities in numerous industry sectors, including mining, life sciences, technology and financial services. In the M&A context, Brad has assisted both public and private companies in structuring, negotiating and completing acquisition transactions through take-over bids, arrangements and share and asset purchases. Brad also has experience advising foreign issuers with the listing of their securities on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Brad's legal experience is supplemented by his financial knowledge, as he has received his B. Comm. and M.B.A. degrees and has passed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.
