Companies Act 2006 - 1 October 2008

The Companies Act 2006 (CA 2006) received Royal Assent on 8 November 2006 and its provisions are being phased in over a 3 year period. Various provisions are already in force, previous effective dates having been in January, April and October 2007 and in April 2008. The next key date is 1 October 2008 when, inter alia, several provisions will come into force.
