Based in Fasken Martineau's Johannesburg office, Dimitri is a dual qualified (South African and English) lawyer with a broad corporate commercial practice. The emphasis of Dimitri's practice at Fasken Martineau is on mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions within the resources sector. His clients have included the issuers or the underwriters in financing transactions involving resources companies active in Africa (particularly South Africa). Dimitri advises on mergers, acquisitions and corporate reorganisations for companies and also provides advice on compliance with securities laws.

Lawyers who are called to the bar in South Africa are on the non-practising roll. The firm's Johannesburg office is not registered as a South African law firm and does not offer any services that are reserved for practicing South African attorneys in terms of Section 83 of the Attorneys Act, 1979, including litigation.
