Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that Elena Hoffstein was recently awarded the prestigious Lexpert Zenith Award.

Elena has long been a high-profile leader within Fasken Martineau, notably serving as a valued member of the firm's partnership board (2002 to 2007) and now as director of the Wealth Management & Charities practice group in Toronto. Previously she has served on the firm's regional governance and various committees. She is also an active mentor to junior women associates, chair of the firm's alumni committee, and an organizer of events aimed at helping women professionals and clients broaden their business network.

The Zenith Award, which celebrates leading women lawyers in business law, is yet another acknowledgement of Elena's successful practice in trusts and estates law. In 2006, she received the Ontario Bar Association Award of Excellence in Trusts and Estates in recognition of her leadership and contribution to estates and trusts law. Elena has also received Martindale-Hubbell's prestigious AV ranking and she is highly recommended by Practical Law Company for private client matters. She has been head of the Estate Planning section of the Bar Admission Course for 13 years, and has chaired both the OBA Trusts and Estates section and the OBA Charities and Not-for-Profit section.
