Hilal El Ayoubi practices in intellectual property and media and communications law.

He is a trade-mark agent and holds a bachelor's degree in science from McGill University. He represents his clients before Québec Courts and the Federal Court of Canada. His areas of expertise cover all aspects of patent, copyright, trademarks and industrial design law, as well as unfair competition legislation: thus, he is able to give his clients informed and timely advice on the best way to protect their intellectual property assets. Hilal provides advice on licensing agreements and is regularly part of the teams working on commercial transactions involving intellectual property law. Most recently, Hilal has largely devoted his practice to litigation in NOC proceedings. He represents pharmaceutical industry and biotechnologies corporations and his scientific background is definitely an asset. Hilal also represents corporations that operate in the entertainment, communications and fashion industries. Hilal is capable of offering services in Spanish and is fluent in Arabic. He completed part of his law studies at the University of Barcelona in Spain.
