Montreal, May 23, 2007 - Claude Auger, managing partner of the Montreal and Québec City offices of the law firm Fasken Martineau, is pleased to welcome Florence Dagicour in the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group as a lawyer.

A doctor in law, Mtre Dagicour specializes in issues relating to climate change and carbon markets, and advises clients on all aspects relating to these issues. Florence Dagicour is also one of the only lawyers in Canada to specialize in nuclear law.

"For several years, protecting the quality of the environment has topped the agenda of decision-makers across the planet. The need to protect the air, water, soil and natural resources has profoundly changed our social attitudes and our political and legal priorities. The arrival of Mtre Dagicour rounds off our team of experienced and proactive lawyers who have a global view of the issues that need to be resolved and are able to propose concrete and innovative solutions," declared Mr. Auger.

Mtre Dagicour practiced at Desjardins Ducharme after a stint in Brussels with the European Commission's Environment Directorate-General.

Called to the Québec Bar in 2005, Ms. Dagicour served as notary public clerk in France before obtaining a licence, two master's degrees and one doctor of laws in public international law. Mtre Dagicour also holds common law and civil law licences from McGill University.

Mtre Dagicour has written several articles on issues relating to climate change, carbon markets and nuclear law. Florence Dagicour will be practicing in our Montreal offices.
