Acted for UFACEX UK Holdings in a recommended mandatory cash offers made to acquire Cambridge Water
In 2003, Yomi Akinjide acted for UFACEX UK Holdings in a recommended mandatory cash offers made to acquire Cambridge Water Plc. This involved advising the then third largest utility company of Spain, Union Fenosa by setting up a wholly owned UK subsidiary, UFACEX UK Holdings, which was the vehicle used to make a recommended bid for the London Stock Exchange AIM listed company Cambridge Water. The transaction involved the acquisition of Cambridge Water, attending to the regulatory issues involved in ring fencing its assets as required by the water regulator, and the de-listing of Cambridge Water from the London Stock Exchange following the successful acquisition.
