Acted on behalf of Babcock & Wilcox, the general contractor of the Uniforêt Port Cartier paper mill on Québec's North Shore
He represented among others the general contractor in a lawsuit against the project engineers and was granted judgment by the Superior Court as well as by the Court of Appeal holding said engineers responsible for budget shortfalls in the payment of extras requested by said engineers, who were also held responsible for poor project planning. In consequence, the engineering firm was personally ordered to pay Babcock & Wilcox Canada more than $10 million in damages.
