AESWapiti Energy Corporation has signed a power purchase agreement with BC Hydro Corporation for the AESWapiti 184 MW power generation project which is expected to be built northeast of Tumbler Ridge in northeastern British Columbia. The agreement has a term of thirty years beginning in 2010. The estimated cost of the power plant is US$450 million.
