Alain focuses mainly on bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial and corporate litigation. He was involved in many complex financial disputes and in most of the large restructurings that have taken place in Québec over the last few years, acting on behalf of important corporations in their recovery under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. Currently he is representing Quebecor Media Inc., autoparts manufacturer Trimag S.E.C., and Ambrilia Biopharma Inc. in their restructurings, and he is acting for the 364-day secured term loan lenders in the insolvency of pulp and paper giant AbitibiBowater Inc. Alain frequently pleads before both trial and appeal courts.
