Alexco Resource Corp. receives Type A Water Licence from Yukon Water Board, one of its principal operating permits to construct and operate its Bellekeno Mine, a silver-lead-zinc in the Keno Hill Silver District of Yukon Territory. Michelle assisted to develop a social licence strategy to facilitate support from local communities for Alexco's project permitting endeavours as well as to obtain required permits for Alexco's Bellekeno mine, including appearing before the Yukon Water Board in one of the first considerations of a water licence application for a quartz mining operation under the new environmental assessment scheme embodied in the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Act.
