Amdac-Carmichael Ltd is delighted to announce that as part of its global manufacturing and marketing strategy, it has formed an alliance with the Dongguan Yongquiang Vehicles Manufacturing Co Ltd (YQSY Ltd) based in Guangdong Province, China.

The arrangement which completed on 24 January 2011, has resulted in YQSY Ltd having the rights to manufacture and market the Carmichael range of Cobra 2 chassis/cabs as complete vehicles in China to capitalise on the massive potential in the aviation sector in their domestic market as well as territories in the Far East and the Sub-Continent.

Amdac-Carmichael will continue to market the Cobra range in its own established market in the UK, Europe, most of the Middle East and Africa and will produce Cobra 2 superstructures in the United Kingdom for those specific markets built on chassis manufactured by YQSY Ltd.

YQSY Ltd is a well established and major manufacturer of fire fighting vehicles and other specialist vehicles in China and already possess the resources and facilities to produce Cobra 2. Further details on YQSY Ltd are available on www.yqqc.com

Both companies consider this as a major step forward by joining their combined resources to engineer and manufacture the finest range of airport crash trucks in the World and have a commitment to develop the product further to continue Cobra's prominent position as a world beater.

Amdac-Carmichael will also continue to produce the 'Viper' range of Airport Fire Fighting Vehicles in addition to its existing range of Water Tenders/Pumping Appliances, Industrial Fire Fighting Vehicles, RIV's/Light Pumping Appliances, Rescue Tenders and Aerial Fire Fighting Vehicles in the UK in addition to the full range of after sales support services available through Carmichael Support Services Ltd.
