Andrea Centa is a partner in the firm's Real Estate group specializing in commercial acquisitions, dispositions and financings. She has a transaction-based practice and advises domestic and cross-border clients in a variety of industries. She has experience in share purchase transactions and asset purchase transactions involving negotiation and preparation of documentation relating to the acquisition, disposition and financing of office buildings, business parks and shopping centres in the GTA and surrounding areas including joint venture agreements, easements, restrictive covenants, cost sharing agreements and other documentation relating to long term development projects. Andrea has experience advising clients, both Canadian and American, in acquiring property in Canada through various co-ownership arrangements. She has also handled numerous sophisticated real estate transactions, portfolios and developments on behalf of pension funds, pension fund advisors, private developers and lenders.
Andrea has acted for various borrowers and lenders, both Canadian and American, in connection with construction, take-out and acquisition financing of office buildings, business parks, shopping centres, development projects and mining projects.
She has experience in acting for mining companies in connection with title reviews and opinions, option agreements and related real estate documentation in connection with purchases, sales and financings of mining land tenures.
