Andrew C. Alleyne

Andrew Alleyne is engaged in a broad corporate commercial practice with a particular interest in outsourcing and information technology. Andrew has gained particular experience in asset and share acquisitions, reorganizations, and drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements related to outsourcings, consulting arrangements, software licensing and maintenance and support agreements (both for licensors and licensees), and Internet and e-commerce matters (including website terms and conditions and consumer protection related issues). Significant transactions in which Andrew has been involved include: information technology outsourcings for banks, hospitals, airlines and a credit union collective, the business process outsourcing of the Canadian sales function of a multinational mortgage brokerage, the establishment of Canadian operations for foreign parent corporations, the acquisition of a major Canadian insurance company, the acquisition of a top-rated Internet portal company, as well as a number of other commercial transactions. Andrew has been seconded as a director in the law department of one of Canada's largest multimedia companies. 

Andrew is an advocate for the black legal community, having been for many years a director of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL) and currently as the President of CABL.
