On August 28, 2007, Funds advised by Apax Partners completed the acquisition of a significant minority position in SMART Technologies ULC. SMART Technologies supplies information and communications technology products that are suitable for interactive display applications and facilitate an interactive, collaborative environment, including the SMART Board interactive whiteboards.

Fasken Martineau advised Apax Partners on the Canadian aspects of the acquisition and related debt financing with a team of lawyers and paralegals from the firm's London, Calgary and Toronto offices.
