As a partner, he is part of the defence team for the City of Montreal in a liability suit of $63M, claiming the abusive termination of a waste management plant construction and operation contract in the amount of $300M. The suit has produced many reported decisions, including a benchmark decision of the Supreme Court of Canada on legal professional privilege in Quebec (Société d'énergie Foster Wheeler ltée v. Société intermunicipale de gestion et d'élimination des déchets (SIGED) inc.), [2004] 1 S.C.R. 456). Trial in progress since September 9, 2004.
