Bank of Montreal purchases $2 billion Guardian Group of Funds from Guardian Capital Group Limited
On July 19, 2001, The Bank of Montreal completed its purchase of Guardian Group of Funds Ltd. from Guardian Capital Group Ltd. of 4.96 million bank common shares valued at $180 million.
The Bank of Montreal was represented by Managing Director, Private Client Group, Atul Tiwari, and by Fasken Martineau's Jon Levin, Janne Duncan, Stephen Erlichman, Catherine Eckenswiller, David Moritsugu, Anil Aggarwal and Munier Saloojee.
