On April 30, 2001, Bell Canada, through its division Bell ActiMedia, announced that it had finalized an equity agreement with Web portal leader AllBusiness. Under the new arrangement, the two companies will be joint owners of "Bell Zinc Corporation" which will operate the Web portal "BellZinc.ca"(TM). Launch partner AllBusiness.com, a leading provider of small business content and resources, will become an active shareholder of Bell Zinc Corporation while Bell Canada retains majority ownership.
