Fasken Martineau in conjunction with Kilburn & Strode, and Lawford Davies Denoon invites you to attend a complimentary breakfast seminar explaining the patent ramifications of the recent Oliver Brüstle and Monsanto cases.
On 10 March 2011, the Advocate General issued a controversial opinion in Oliver Brüstle v. Greenpeace (the "Brüstle case"). The Brüstle case, along with the recent Monsanto decision, appears to redefine the protection available in Europe for biotech patents. These are the leading cases involving the Biotech Directive and the morality provisions.
Join us to learn about protection for biotech patents in Europe, as well as the enforcement and licensing of such patents following these cases. This seminar is hosted by a collaboration of lawyers and patent attorneys who have a unique perspective on these profound cases.
