On June 29, 2001, the sale by Canada Lands Company of a vast downtown Montréal property referred to as Peel/St-Jacques site was completed. The property situated south of the Molson Center was purchased by True North Property of Edmonton, Alberta whose intention is to develop the property for the purposes of a residential and hotel complex. The property was under option by the Expos organization until last year, where development was intended for a new baseball stadium. 

Canada Lands Company was represented by Richard J. Clare and Marie-Josée Roux-Fauteux of the Montréal office of Fasken Martineau.
