On March 31, 2004, Communisis plc announced that it had completed the disposal of its colour card businesses, also known as McCorquodale Color Card Co., to Colwell Industries Inc., a private company based in the US. The businesses were sold for a consideration of £11.5 million.

McCorquodale Color Card Co. is based in Leeds, UK, with North American operations located in Toronto and Montreal and in Whiteford, MD.
