David G. Wong is an associate in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights Group and is the current head of the Human Rights Practice Group. A Westbrook Scholar, David's experience in various leadership and community roles continues to assist him in establishing a successful practice in the field.
David advises companies on issues involving all aspects of both unionized and non-unionized workforces. David has represented his clients in wrongful dismissal actions, arbitration grievances, labour relations board proceedings, proceedings before the Employment Standards Tribunal, and Occupational Health and Safety proceedings. He also has experience representing management in collective bargaining. In addition, in his role as the Head of the Human Rights Practice Group, a substantial portion of David's practice involves providing advice in the area of human rights and representing clients before the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal and Canadian Human Rights Commission.
