Dawn Robertson is an associate in Fasken Martineau's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. She has experience in a broad range of complex litigation matters, including commercial and contractual disputes, negligence cases, criminal and regulatory prosecutions, letters rogatory applications and administrative law matters.
Dawn has a special interest in defamation law and has assisted with multiple complex libel matters, including a jury trial that resulted in a new benchmark damage award.
Dawn also has significant experience working with health sector clients. Dawn recently acted as co-counsel to a regional emergency medical service at a coroner's inquest. Dawn also acts for professional colleges and provides advice to health sector clients on regulatory matters and legislative developments.
Dawn has broad courtroom advocacy experience, having appeared before various levels of court in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.
Dawn summered with the firm in 2005, during which time she was seconded to the firm's Vancouver office. She completed her articles with the firm in 2006/07 and joined the firm as an associate in September 2007.
