Denis Chaurette is a partner at the firm. He is well known in the medium enterprise sector for his business sense, strong relationship with his clients and understanding of their budgetary constraints. With 15 years of litigation practice to his name in addition to his practice in transactions and corporate advising, he has amassed a rare set of experiences that enable him to provide counsel that takes every angle of a situation into account. He is also known for his ability to close deals and his goal-oriented tenacity and creativity.
Over the past five years, Mtre Chaurette has participated in realizing over a hundred business financings on behalf of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (FTQ) and Desjardins Venture Capital, as well as various entrepreneurs. He also carried out the acquisition of controlling interests in certain companies on behalf of Novacap II, Limited Partnership and Champlain Capital Partners. In addition, he has completed many sales and purchases of businesses both in and outside Québec, drafted and negotiated numerous leases for immoveables and took part in a large number of real estate transactions. His clients are mainly SMEs, financing corporations, business acquisition funds and venture capital corporations.
