On September 1, 2009, Distributel Communications Limited successfully completed the acquisition of ThinkTel Communications Ltd.

Distributel, one of the pioneers of the competitive long-distance industry in Canada, is a privately held corporation in business since 1988 . ThinkTel is a leading provider of wholesale voice over broadband solutions and advanced voice applications.

Distributel was advised in this transaction by a team from Fasken Martineau led by Stephen Whitehead and that included, among others, Brian McIntomny and Anne Ko, assisted by student-at-law Julia Kennedy.
