A Notable Acquisition: Doug H. Scott joins Fasken Martineau's M&A team in Toronto

Toronto (Canada) Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that Doug H. Scott has joined the firm as a partner in our Toronto office. He joins Fasken Martineau from another Bay Street law firm where he was national co-chair of its Mergers and Acquisitions Group.

Doug's M&A and corporate/commercial law practice focuses on acquisitions and dispositions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations. A significant portion of his practice involves advising foreign clients on establishing or acquiring businesses in Canada. As well, Doug is actively involved on an ongoing basis in the acquisition programs of many North American public companies. He brings considerable experience with both public and private companies in the technology, resource, healthcare, manufacturing and real estate sectors.
