Dundee REIT purchases thirteen buildings in Technoparc Saint-Laurent
On June 30, 2004, Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company, Société en commandite Alfred-Nobel (a subsidiary of Solim), 2946-8980 Québec Inc. (a company owned by Hydro-Quebec Pension Fund) and Fiducie du Technoparc Saint-Laurent sold their interest in a company owning 13 buildings comprising 323,000 square feet in Technoparc Saint-Laurent to Dundee REIT. The purchase price was approximately $63.6 million.
Technoparc Saint-Laurent is the largest technological park dedicated to research and development in Canada. Situated on a site comprising more than 700 acres, adjacent to the Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport, the buildings are fully leased to predominantly technology companies for their research and development activities.
Dundee REIT is an unincorporated, open-ended real estate investment trust, focusing on owning, acquiring, leasing and managing mid-sized urban and suburban office and industrial properties in Canada.
