On March 28, 2003, Energizer Holdings, Inc. completed its acquisition of the worldwide Schick-Wilkinson Sword wet shave products business from Pfizer Inc. for US$930 million. In Canada, this involved the acquisition by Energizer Canada Inc. of the Schick division assets from Pfizer Canada Inc.
Energizer was represented in Canada by Fasken Martineau, with a team that included Sean Morley and Chris Bent (corporate), Angela Di Padova (competition), Peggy McCallum and Jean-Pierre Laporte (pension and benefits), Alix Herber (labour), and Mitchell Thaw and David Robertson (tax).
