London (UK)/Paris (France) – Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that its London and Paris offices have been advising Sinclair IS Pharma plc ("Sinclair IS Pharma"), a London-based international specialty pharmaceutical company, in connection with two recent transactions.

The acquisition on December 15, 2011, of Advanced Biotechnology Inc., a dermatological products company focused on scar treatment and prevention for a total consideration of £21.0 million. The acquisition gives Sinclair IS Pharma ownership of Advanced Biotechnology Inc's flagship scar prevention and treatment product Kelo-cote®.

The sale, on November 15, 2011, by Sinclair IS Pharma of Mysoline (a prescription-only medicine indicated for certain types of epilepsy, essential tremors and seizures) for a total cash consideration of £11.1 million.

The Fasken Martineau team advising Sinclair IS Pharma in connection with the acquisition of Advanced Biotechnology Inc. included Abayomi Akinjide, Peter Rhodes, Stuart Richards, Antonina Nijran, Michael A. Kashis , Kathryn Lynne, Rakesh Jhally and Paul Yerbury from the firm's London office.
