Fasken Martineau receives 2008 IABC Ovation awards

Fasken Martineau has won three IABC Ovation awards for its Government Relations activity for clients. The Ovation awards are issued by the Toronto chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and will be formally given at a gala dinner on May 29.
The three awards are as follows:
- Award of Merit for government relations for the work done by Guy Giorno, Dan Brock and Rich Butler on behalf of the Coalition of Ontario Pharmacy (Bill 102 campaign)
- Award of Merit for communication skill (writing) for Guy Giorno's work on behalf of the Save Our Voice! Coalition (challenge to regulation under the Retail Sales Tax Act)
- Award of Excellence for communication skill (writing) for Guy Giorno's work on behalf of the Coalition of Ontario Pharmacy (Bill 102 campaign)
The International Association of Business Communicators is a professional network of more than 14,000 business communication professionals in over 70 countries. IABC Toronto, which is the largest chapter in Canada holds an annual awards program that is open to all communications practitioners in the Greater Toronto Area.
