Vancouver (Canada) – Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that it won the 2011 Excellence in Legal Marketing Award for "Marketing Initiative of the Year" presented by Hubbard One and The Hildebrandt Institute. The award is for the firm's campaign surrounding the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. 

In presenting the award, one of the judges said: "Fasken Martineau leveraged and capitalized on an incredible opportunity to align with the Olympic Games in dollars spent vs. long-term recognition in its community, within its firm and in opening its doors to others outside their community who needed a place to work during the games. The internal tie-in to employee initiatives made it fun for everyone who attended or not. The memories of the games and the firm are priceless and will outlive the dollars spent far beyond the event."

The award was presented at a gala reception last night at The Hildebrandt Institute's 18th Annual Marketing Partner Forum in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conference gathers senior marketing leaders from law firms across North America.
