On May 12, 2006 Forum Leasehold Partners Inc. purchased from SMK Speedy International Inc. 47 of its 60 stores for an undisclosed amount. Forum financed the acquisition with first mortgage financing obtained by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada.
Sun Life retained several local counsel with regard to this matter, including Tasha Lackman of Fasken Martineau.
