Ginette Leclerc is a senior partner in the firm's Paris office. She was a partner of the full-service French law firm that merged with Fasken Martineau in September 2009.
Ginette is a member of the Quebec Bar and of the Paris Bar. Before establishing in France, she was a partner in one of the major Canadian law firms where she handled numerous complex business transactions for large corporations. From her Canadian work experience and academic background, Ginette has gained the ability to work under both the civil law system which prevails in Québec, France and some of the MENA countries and other African countries, as well as the Anglo-Saxon common law in force in Canada, Great Britain, the United States and India.
As in-house counsel to Valeo, one of the leading automotive suppliers doing business throughout the world, Ginette acquired extensive experience with various markets, including in Eastern Europe, North America and South America, and Asia. She also gained valuable inside knowledge of the organization and decision-making processes of business enterprises, which she applies now in her daily practice for our clients.
Her principal practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investment funds, financing and corporate law. She has particular expertise in real estate and in insolvency acting for financial institutions and creditors.
