Acted for a large Canadian brokerage, Nesbitt Burns, in an $8 billion mining collapse of Bre-X Minerals Ltd. Responsible for three Canadian class actions, a U.S. class action, 100 individual actions and two Securities Commission investigations. Successfully avoided the certification of the class actions. In the three reported cases published, and deciding legal issues, all secondary market securities class actions were effectively ended in Canada for a decade.
