Industrial Alliance acquires DundeeWealth's Quebec-based mutual fund dealer and insurance distribution operations

On December 31, 2008, Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. ("Industrial Alliance") and DundeeWealth Inc. completed a transaction whereby Industrial Alliance acquired DundeeWealth's mutual fund advisory and insurance network of financial advisors who are registered in the Province of Quebec with the MFDA and/or the AMF.

Industrial Alliance was advised in this acquisition by a team from Fasken Martineau led by Jean G. Morency and that included, among others, Marie Carole Tétrault (corporate), Pierre-Yves Châtillon (securities/regulatory), Sébastien Roy (intellectual property) and Anthony Baldanza (competition).
