Nova v. Guelph Engineering Co., M.H. Grove, et al (1987), 52 A.L.R. 422 (Product Liability Natural Gas Pipeline Explosion)
Successfully defended the inventor of a high pressure pipeline valve which exploded on the NOVA main natural gas pipeline at Princess, Alberta, causing extensive fire damage. Following a very lengthy trial which consumed more than a year in court the plaintiff's action in the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta for $65 Million damages was dismissed against all defendants. The Alberta Court of Appeal then dismissed the plaintiff's appeal.
