Defended Richmount Petroleum Ltd. before the Court of Queen's Bench in an oil & gas dispute between a Farmor and Farmee under a Farmout agreement. This litigation had significant implications for the oil and gas industry and its reliance on Farmout arrangements to explore for and develop oil & gas properties. The dispute dealt, in part, with the obligations and rights of Farmors and Farmees under such arrangements. Outstanding accounting issues between the parties were settled after the trial.
