A former unionized employee brought a $2.5 million action against our client, his former employer, alleging that the employer was liable for certain assualts suffered by the employee while at work. Gideon Forrest obtained an order staying the action on the basis that the claim had to be arbitrated under the collective bargaining regime and could not be brought to court.
