Jacques Audette has been practising labour and employment law for the last thirty years. His wide experience has led him to take charge of all aspects of delicate situations in complex and far-reaching litigation. He regularly represents private or public sector clients before specialized administrative tribunals as well as appeal courts. Yet, his expertise is far-reaching: if need be, he can develop strategies, negotiate and manage communications in order to secure an efficient outcome to the problems his clients face when the judicial process is deemed inappropriate.
Jacques is a passionate and seasoned litigator: he mainly represents clients involved in grievance adjudications, unlawful or without cause dismissals, union certifications and collective bargaining, various claims of psychological or other harassment, human rights, labour standards and individual employment contracts.
These last ten years, he has played a greater strategic role in crisis management stemming from major labour conflicts and in labour reorganization brought about by major changes in business practices.
His expertise is regularly sought at the first signs of a potentially problematic situation; he then displays great flexibility and adaptability and, when necessary, takes on the leadership of multidisciplinary groups.
His wide experience and his reasoned approach are called upon to handle governance and organizational strategy issues either by the senior executives of the companies he represents or directly by their boards.
Jacques has been a guest speaker at different conferences on many subjects related to labour law.
