As a Registered Trade-mark Agent in the firm's Vancouver Intellectual Property Group, Janine MacNeil practices exclusively in the area of trade-marks, handling all aspects of trade-mark prosecution in Canada. This includes assessing and providing opinions with respect to the availability and registrability of trade-marks, the preparation and prosecution of applications to register trade-marks, post-registration maintenance, representing clients in trade-mark opposition and summary cancellation proceedings as well as advising with respect to proper trade-mark use and marking. Further, she collaborates with lawyers with respect to trade-mark litigation, the transfer and licensing of trade-marks and due diligence in connection with corporate transactions. Janine's practice also includes collaborating with counsel in the United States and in other jurisdictions for the prosecution and management of trade-mark protection for clients in Canada and internationally.
