KAM pipeline from Kumkol to Dzhusaly in Kazakhstan

John Vercoe advised Hurricane Hydrocarbons (now known as Petrokazakhstan), on numerous operational issues in both the upstream and downstream (refinery) business in his capacity as vice president, Legal and Contracts. This involved advising on tenders, contracts, regulatory compliance and the acquisition of land and oil and gas assets for the KAM pipeline, a 177 kilometre, 16-inch pipeline from Kumkol to Dzhusaly in Kazakhstan. This was the first high-pressure oil pipeline built in Kazakhstan and the Dzhusaly rail loading as well as the fastest loading facility in Kazakhstan.
