Kevin H. Yip

Associate

Kevin Yip is an associate in the Taxation law group in Toronto. He has expertise in all areas of domestic and international income tax planning for individuals and corporations, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, trusts, real estate transactions, corporate finance, and executive compensation plans. Kevin also has experience representing clients in dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency and the provincial tax authorities on tax audit and tax dispute resolution matters.

Kevin obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario bar in 2007. He graduated from Princeton University with an undergraduate engineering degree in Computer Science and earned a certificate in Finance and a certificate in Engineering Management Systems.

Prior to starting his legal career, Kevin was a Quantitative Research associate in the fixed income and foreign exchange desk of a hedge fund in Chicago. Kevin completed the Canadian Securities Course (1997) and has been designated a Derivatives Market Specialist (2004) by the Canadian Securities Institute. Kevin has also completed the CICA In-depth Tax Course and is a contributor to GAAR Interpreted: The General Anti-Avoidance Rule.
