Kyla is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Kyla has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, as well as in arbitrations and mediation. She has also assisted clients in administrative proceedings before the Alberta Utilities Commission.

Kyla’s practice encompasses a broad range of complex corporate/commercial disputes, with a particular focus on employment law and estate litigation. Kyla aims to help clients pro-actively meet their legal needs, including drafting effective employment policies and advising on best practices. In addition, she assists clients in injunctive relief applications, human rights complaints, and wrongful dismissal disputes.

Prior to law school, Kyla worked in the field in Alberta’s oil and gas industry. This experience provided her with valuable insight as to the practical realities corporations face. She provides advice that aims to harmonize business practicalities with any legal requirements.
