Montréal (Canada) – Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law firm, announced today that it will present its upcoming Labour, Employment and Human Rights seminar in its offices across Canada and live via the internet. Nearly 550 participants have already registered for the event.

The 2-hour seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. It will be offered free of charge to in house counsel and human resources professionals interested in the following topics:
• Violence and harassment in the workplace – Remedies available in Canada
• Termination of employment – Damages facing employers
• Duty to accommodate in employment – Recent trends in Canada.

The presentations will be delivered by lawyers in the firm's Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver offices. After each presentation, local speakers will be available to answer questions on regional aspects of each topic. The seminar will also be broadcast via the internet for in-house counsel and other interested participants who cannot attend in person.

"Whenever we can contribute to the advancement of legal knowledge, our lawyers and partners stand up and give the best of what they've got."

Legal counsel and HR professionals who would like to attend the seminar in person can register in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa or Montréal. Those interested in participating via the internet can register online to receive the log-in information.
