Overview

Jean-François Perreault is Chair of the firm’s Québec Region Tax Group. He has practised tax law for over 20 years, with a focus on commercial and corporate taxation.

Jean-François has experience in corporate reorganization and commodity tax planning, and handles matters related to cross-border financing and investment, operations and acquisition structuring in Canada and abroad.

He is recognized as one of the best income and commodity tax advisers. He regularly negotiates successfully on behalf of clients during disputes with the tax authorities.

Jean-François’ experience in structuring public-private partnerships is valued by private corporations, government and government agencies in the transportation, recreation, infrastructure and health industries.

He also has vast experience in mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings, as well as corporate reorganizations in various industries, including aerospace, pharmaceutical, life sciences, real estate and transportation. He also regularly speaks at both industry group and tax conferences.
